The narrow - gauge railway system was an important part of former Znin sugar factory. It was build in 1893 - 1894 and then it has 46 kilometres long. That railway were used to supply the sugar factory by beets. The railway system were mothballed in 1972. Now the 12 km part of old system still active and it's a local tourist attraction, called as Zninska Kolej Powiatowa.
