Dereliction at Australia Mill
|
View of one of the two steam engines used to drive the crushing mill. This is a Hamilton-Pratt engine built by Hooven-Owens-Rentschler Co of Hamilton Ohio. It is a single cylinder Corliss type engine, with a stroke of about 1.5m and a bore (diameter) of about 0.9m.
Although a good deal of the metal has been removed, probably as scrap, but maybe as spare parts for other mills, there is still much lying around at random.
