The most significant settlement is formed by the establishment of New Terni Industrie Chimiche which stands near the train station, on the right bank of the River, while the remaining and newer plants are located on the opposite shore, accessible by a bridge. The main feature of the plant is constituted by the intermingling of pipelines and the emergence of an incredible series of smokestacks, towers and tanks of various shapes and materials of construction.
