Zeche Sterkrade

Sterkrade mine in Oberhausen in May 2006.

The mine was constructed around 1900 by the iron works Gutehoffnungshütte in Oberhausen. Bringing up coal was cancelled in 1933. Until 1996 the shaft was used for material transport.
