Water tower from the zinc industry Nyrstar at the Kanaal naar Beverlo in Balen (B). In 1889 started as the zinc and non-ferrous industry Vieille Montagne, later Union Minière Zinc Balen-Wezel. In 2002 it is taken over by Umicore (Zinc Melting). The water tower has been build in 1930 and has a capacity of 300 m³. The building under a "green veil" is the former power plant.
