Kanaal Briegden-Neerharen
View on one of the two locks in the canal Briegden-Neerharen: the lock Lanaken (B).
The canal connects the Albertkanaal with the Zuid-Willemsvaart and has been build between 1930 and 1934: it has a length of 4.8 km. and bridges a 20 metre difference in height. Although short it was important because it gives the possibility to keep navigating in Belgium: avoiding the connection via Maastricht (NL)
