100 Days of Power Generation
Only 100 days after Mülheim-Kärlich nuclear power station started feeding electricity into the grid, it was shut down for good. After getting planning permission, the electricity company RWE decided to build the 1300 MW plant 70 meters away from the place originally planned. The plant had to be shut down because a court decided that the planning permission did not allow building on a different place. One of the most expensive white elephants in Germany.
